Italian Bloodlines at the Core
Our aim is to work with high-quality Italian Lagotto Romagnolo bloodlines. Both Emily and Melissa were bred in Italy and were selected for our breeding programme for their pedigrees, breed type, temperament and documented health results.
We apply the same principles when selecting stud dogs. We do not simply choose the nearest or most convenient option; we look for a mating that makes genuine breeding sense in terms of pedigree, health, temperament and breed type.

THE BREED
Lagotto Romagnolo
The Lagotto Romagnolo is an ancient Italian working breed, originally used as a water dog in the marshlands around Comacchio and Ravenna. After the marshes were drained, its exceptional nose and working ability came to be used for truffle hunting.
Today, the Lagotto is an intelligent, trainable and sensitive dog with a strong working heritage. It needs regular exercise, mental stimulation, kind but consistent guidance and proper care of its curly coat.

Caring for the Lagotto Romagnolo’s curly coat is part of both our everyday life and our professional work.
At our own grooming salon, Voňavé labky, we provide professional dog grooming and have first-hand knowledge of the Lagotto’s specific needs – from regular checks of the skin, coat and ears to grooming that preserves the breed’s natural character.
